Our Costs

One of the advantages of using a small niche practice is that we do not have the same overheads of larger firms and this means we can pass this saving on to our clients by offering competitive fees. Our solicitor’s hourly rates are set well below the guideline rates recommended by the HM Court and Tribunal Service. The rate depends on the level of experience, however you can be assured that in all cases,  the fee earner dealing with your matter will be a specialist in their field and will have undergone rigorous training, both in terms of their professional studies and examinations and also in house, from the experienced directors of SFL. Our current hourly rates are as follows:

• Director £250 plus VAT
• Non Director solicitor £175 plus VAT
• Trainee Solicitor / Paralegal £134  plus VAT

We will also give you the fairest estimate that we can, constantly monitor your costs, bill you regularly and make sure that you are kept clearly informed at every step of the way.

Wherever possible we will also work with you to try and keep your costs to a minimum. Your solicitor will advise you on ways that you can reduce your costs and we have also put together some helpful guidance on keeping costs down, in our downloadable Costs Leaflet.
