Fay is a Solicitor with over 20 years of experience in dealing with family matters, specialising in the financial issues arising from the breakdown of relationships.
Fay graduated from Leeds University with a First Class Honours Degree in Law in 1996. She completed her training at a local Staffordshire firm, being admitted as a solicitor in 1999. She was for many years a partner in a large and well-established West Midlands/Shropshire based firm, but moved to join the Staffordshire Family Law team in May 2016.
Her years in practice enable Fay to give expert advice upon divorce and the associated financial issues, including disputes relating to property, investments and pensions. She has considerable experience of dealing with complex and high net divorce cases, and cases involving family businesses.
She also has considerable experience in dealing with cohabitation disputes and regularly advises upon and prepares Cohabitation agreements
Fay is a member of Resolution, the country’s largest association of specialist family lawyers and has gained accreditation from Resolution as a Specialist Family Lawyer with particular specialisms in Advanced Financial Provision and Cohabitation. She is also a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel, meaning she has and maintains a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of family law.
As a trained Mediator, and member of the Family Mediation Association, Fay now also uses her wealth of experience as a solicitor in the family law arena to help couples wishing to mediate their issues, both in respect of finances and children matters.
Fay’s approach to dealing with clients is professional, but personable, and many of her clients have come to her by way of recommendation. Separation can be an incredibly difficult time for people, and Fay’s aim is to help her clients through the process with honest and clear advice and an efficient, quality service.
When not working, Fay enjoys spending time with her two young children, and relaxing with friends and family.
