Charlotte Hirst

Overview

Charlotte is a Trainee Solicitor in the Matrimonial Department, assisting with divorce, financial issues arising on separation and private children matters.

After finishing her Law degree in June 2023, and having previously worked for a national firm in personal injury, Charlotte decided to pursue her long-term passion for family law by joining Staffordshire Family Law in August 2023. Charlotte completed her Legal Practice Course in July 2025. Shortly after she also completed her Masters in Law. She began a training contract with Staffordshire Family Law Solicitors in September 2025, and is expected to qualify as a solicitor in early 2027. 

Charlotte deals with a mixed caseload including dissolution of relationships, the division of assets and some private child arrangement matters. Charlotte is confident and friendly in her manner with clients, and adopts a constructive approach towards resolution of family law disputes. 

In her spare time, Charlotte is passionate about self-care and improvement. Charlotte is a regular gym goer who likes to keep busy. Charlotte regularly enjoys and participates in roller-skating, drawing, writing, and playing both electric and acoustic guitar.

Recognition

Charlotte graduated from the University of Derby with a 2:1 degree in LLB Law in 2023. She studied for her Legal Practice Course and her LLM Masters in Legal Practice with the University of Law whilst working for Staffordshire Family Law, passing both in 2025.
