Joseph Umerah

Overview

Joseph is a Trainee Solicitor working across the matrimonial and children department. He deals with divorce, financial matters on relationship breakdown and disputes concerning children.  He is also able to assist on cohabitation matters, and the financial issues arising from the breakdown of unmarried couples relationships.

Joseph first joined us on a work experience placement assisting once a week as intern, whilst completing his studies.  Impressed by his work ethic and feeling he was good fit for the firm we approached him to join us on a permanent basis.  Joseph joined Staffordshire Family Law as a Paralegal in September 2024. 

In November 2025 he commenced his training contact with the firm and his hoping to qualify as a solicitor in 2027. 

Joseph is a huge football fan who spends a lot of time watching games and attending Chelsea matches wherever possible

Education

In 2023, Joseph graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:1 LLB with honours in Law. In September of the same year, he commenced his Legal Practice Course fulltime at University of Law, Birmingham. He completed his studies in 2024.
