Overview
Anna is a Solicitor specialising in Family Law, working across the matrimonial and children department. Anna has had a passion for Family Law since entering the profession.
Anna has a particular interest in financial matters on divorce and relationship breakdown. She also has considerable experience in dealing with private children disputes between parents, and other family members.
Anna’s approach is personable, pragmatic and professional. She understands the sensitive nature of her work and will always endeavour to offer the most transparent and appropriate advice in respect of the most difficult issues arising from separation.
Anna has previously worked in the banking and charity sectors before realising that her passion lies within Family Law.
Areas of expertise
Divorce
Anna can assist with preparing the necessary court documents and assisting client to navigate the divorce procedure. She is alive to the fact that these can be the most trying times for clients and will always endeavour to offer the appropriate support and guidance during this difficult time.
Financial Remedy Proceedings
Anna has a particular interest in financial issues that arise on divorce, advising on both the immediate and longer-term consequences of separation. She can advise clients on all aspects of financial settlement, such as property orders, lump sums, pension orders and maintenance issues. She also advises on financial matters arising from the breakdown of a cohabiting relationship. She works closely with Managing Director Fay Rothery, a matrimonial finance specialist with over 25 years of experience.
Private Law Children
Anna represents parents in private law disputes. She takes a solution based approach in respect of resolving difficulties between parents. This will often result in less acrimony and will allow a resolution to be reached in a more timely manner.
On occasion however, it may be necessary to seek Court intervention. If this proves to be necessary, Anna is able to advise, assist and advocate on behalf of her clients in respect of Child Arrangement Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders. Anna is aware that clients in this area require and benefit from continuity of representation and therefore will attend Court personally where possible to ensure that this is maintained for our clients
Recognition
Anna was awarded a 2:1 LLB Honours Degree in Law by the University of Liverpool in 2019.
Anna completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2022.
Anna was admitted to the role of Solicitors in 2023.
