Jane Tinsley

Overview

Jane is an experienced family law solicitor with over 22 years’ experience. Jane joined SFL as a Senior Solicitor in August 2026 having previously practised family law in well-established firms across the West Midlands and Shropshire.

Jane is a compassionate solicitor who will offer a practical approach to assisting clients through what may be the most challenging period in their lives. Jane takes time to listen to individual circumstances and will provide clear, straightforward advice whilst working to achieve an outcome for her clients and their families which aligns with their priorities.

Jane is personable yet professional and will ensure that her clients feel informed and confident at every stage of the legal process.

Whilst Jane is committed to resolving disputes amicably, she will litigate where necessary.

Areas of Expertise

Jane can advise on a broad range of family law matters including divorce, cohabitation, financial arrangements upon separation, financial remedy proceedings, financial provision for children and pre/post nuptial agreements.

Jane has a wealth of experience dealing with cases involving multiple properties, business interests, pensions, inherited/gifted assets, & assets overseas. Jane has also had experience of cases involving third party interventions, capitalisation of maintenance, prevention of disposal of assets & enforcement of financial remedy orders.

Recognition

Jane was admitted as a Solicitor in 2003 having obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Law followed by a Diploma in Legal Practice with distinction, from the University of Wolverhampton.
